Cadmium intake  for seven days , from water solution ( 100mg/l ) induced  incresead activities  of CuZn superoxide dismutase ( Sod – e.c 1.15.1.1) in serum , and  of total protein in urine  on  the other  hand, cadmium  by ip. Route , induce  increased serum SOD and creatine. Lipoperoxide serum concetrations  were  decreased in these rats . No alterations  were  observed  in total  protein  concetrations  in rats  treated  by ip. Admistration . Since  increased  creatinine  concentration  in serum samples , is related  to decreased glomerular filtration  and kidney fails . Protein  in urine  is used as a n indicatior  of leakly glomerulli, thus, increased proteinuria reflets renal cell damage, and significant  damage to the  glomerular membrane. The observation that lipoperoxide concentration decreased, while SOD activity was increased in rats with cadmium , indicated that renal lesions were related to free radicals .
